CMS issued the proposed rule for Section 101 of the 2003 Medicare Modernization Act, which established Social Security Act Section 1860D-4(c). The document clarifies and outlines CMS' approach to the implementation of a Medication Therapy Management Program. CMS also is seeking comments on how best to implement certain aspects of the law, that are due Oct. 4, 2004.
